About

Established in 1997, Flood Reserve is the only commercial vineyard on the Far North Coast of New South Wales. With 2.5 Ha in vines, wines are produced using very simple, traditional methods.
No artificial tannins or taste additives are used in the winemaking process and very little preservatives are added. The finished wine is not filtered and many operations are done manually

White wines are produced from Verdelho and Chardonnay grapes and the reds from Chambourcin and Cabernet Sauvignon. Each year's growing season can vary greatly and therefore the wine made varies as well.

The vineyard itself is set atop the rich red soil of a property which was the original flood reserve farmland near Red Hill at Tatham, New South Wales. Mr. Brian Mull, the owner of Flood Reserve, has gradually planted out tracts of the property with vines sourced from Griffith and Port Macquarie.
